Friendsgiving Food Drive Live At Underdog Lounge

Brave New Radio gave back this Thanksgiving holiday with the help of Underdog Lounge in Haledon, NJ. Our Friendsgiving Food Drive brought in more than 20 bags of donations, consisting of non-perishable food, canned goods and toiletries. All of the donations went to Helping Hands Food Pantry in Teaneck, NJ.

Throughout the day, BNR broadcasted live from Underdog. The broadcast started with JY and Seabass discussing Thanksgiving traditions, followed by Samory Rose, playing soulful tunes that reminded us all of family; YungWolf and Hava discussing the food drive and pop culture; the sports department with their show, Sports Drive, talking about the turkey bowl and the recent suspension of Lebron James; and DJ Rissa B, discussing the importance of giving back.

The food drive would not have been so successful without the help and support of Underdog Lounge which hosted Brave New Radio all day, as well as the many people who took the time out to come out and donate for a great cause. We are honored to help give back to the community especially during a time of need and a holiday meant to celebrate what we are thankful for.

At the end of the night, the BNR team held their own Friendsgiving at Underdog, celebrating the holiday and giving thanks for a successful year of hard work. BNR hopes to make the Friendsgiving Food Drive a yearly tradition.
