Patti LaBelle at Kings Theatre
Hundreds of individuals rushed to Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on March 12th to see Patti LaBelle and featured artist Will Downing. Upon entering the building, Jazz filled the theatre. Will Downing performed several of his hits, interacting with the crowd as they mouthed the lyrics to his songs. He gave a shout-out to his featured band members, increasing the hype for Ms. Patti LaBelle’s entrance. Each band member performed solos on their respective instruments.
Starting the concert with a standing ovation, Ms. Pattie LaBelle entered Kings theater in a beautiful navy-blue sparkled suit singing one of her all-time favorite hits Love, Need and Want you. The theatre was filled with smooth jazz and unique sounds. She sang her top songs, “If You Only Knew” and “On My Own” which moved the crowd emotionally and physically.
Her tribute to Brooklyn included smooth hip-hop remixes from her background singers and featured band. During a short break between songs, she had a quick outfit change to a green feathered suit. The DJ took a major throwback, playing “To Be Real” by Cheryl Lynn and “Jump on It” by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Her tour #PattisGoodLife included special appearances with Will Downing in Brooklyn, Maryland, Hanover and Atlantic City.
