iHeartRadio Block Party presented by Modelo featuring Tai Verdes

Over the weekend, myself along with Program Director, Vont Leak, had the pleasure of attending the iHeartRadio Block Party presented by Modelo. The free event was held at Pier 76 in New York City and featured many different games and giveaways for fans to take part in. From food trucks to the largest foosball game I’ve ever seen, there were activities for everyone including a competition where contestants had to keep one hand on a vending machine in order to win a one year supply of Takis and Modelo that gave flashbacks to an episode of Zoey 101.

The block party was hosted by Z100 DJ, Maxwell, with music from DJ Dramos and a special guest appearance from comedian, Spice Adams. However, the man who stole the show without a doubt was artist, Tai Verdes. The California native performed some new music of his such as “sheluvme” and classics like “Stuck in the Middle” with a live band during his 30 minute set. Tai’s electrifying energy on stage was one that I’ve never seen before. The way he is able to keep the crowd engaged without making it seem forced is truly incredible. With an album coming at the end of the summer, it will be interesting to see how Verdes’ career progresses as this was another step forward for him.

All in all, one could say the event was A-O-K!!!
