Pushing P Not People as Gunna Takes Binghamton

Gunna Performing “Pushin P” Live at Binghamton University

Things went awry this weekend as Atlanta rapper “Gunna” performed at the Binghamton University’s “Spring Fling.” Everything started off well as a student band “The Plasters” kicked off the show with a bang.  The alt rock band had the crowd going crazy with lines like “Genie can you be with me, I want your body next to me.” They then introduced the next group Social House and that’s where the trouble began.  While performing their hit tune “Magic in the Hamptons” the crowd began pushing and shoving back and forth. This caused numerous injuries and even someone being removed in a stretcher. Things did settle down and then the star of the show Gunna came on stage. The Drip too Hard rapper set the tone with an hour long set performing hit after hit. However, what he could not control was the crowd and their wild energy. While they were lit, time and time again people were being lifted out of the mosh pit passed out. The show was stopped twice to tell people to relax and finally by the 3rd time they did. All in all, it was an amazing show although festival/mosh pit cultures needs some changes because it is for certain unsafe.
